Air Quality and Ventilation Requirements

• HEPA filtration: High-Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filters capable of removing ≥99.97% of particles ≥0.3 microns.

• Minimum 12 air changes per hour (ACH)

• Existing facilities may have 6 ACH (CDC minimum).

• Negative pressure relative to adjacent areas Ensures air flows into the room, not out, containing airborne pathogens.​

• Ante-room (optional but recommended) for donning PPE and reducing air disruption​
